National Winners emerged in the just concluded year 2012 National Information Technology Competitions organized by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS).
The finals of the 2012 National Information Technology Competitions organized by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and supported by the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) was held on Thursday, 26th July, 2012 at Le Meridien Ibom Hotel, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State the venue of NCS 2012 National Conference. The award presentation was held on Friday 27th July, 2012 during the Closing Banquet of the Conference.
The National Information Technology Competitions organized annually are tagged ‘National Information Whizkids Competition’ for Secondary Schools and ‘Olatunji Odegbami National IT Competition’ for Tertiary Institutions. These competitions are designed for exhibiting and rewarding excellence in Information Technology among secondary school and territory institutions students.
The Competition for Secondary Schools was held at three stages i.e. State, Zonal (six geographical zones of the nation including Abuja-FCT) and National. While the tertiary school competition was held at the national level.
At the end of the different stages of the competition which was keenly competed. The following Candidates and schools emerged winners of 2012 NCS National Information Technology Competition.

The competitions stimulate the interest of youths in IT, engender scholarship, and challenge young people to compete in this field that drives innovation. NCS therefore calls for the collective support of Governments, Corporate Organizations, individuals and other members of society towards the sustainability of this project. NCS believes support of initiatives of this nature is essential to encourage children and young people of Nigeria create their future and fulfill their potential with information technology. Children are the future – respect them, celebrate them, give them a sense that they are the future.

NCS appreciates Parents and Schools whose wards and students participated at levels of the Competitions, NCS Chapter Chairmen/Members, who coordinated the competition at different states of the nation and some State Governments that supported students’ participation.
