What are your plans for the 2014 Girls in ICT Day?
Girls need to take advantage of the exciting employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the ICT sector. You and I will be losing, and even the Society as a whole is the biggest loser, if young women are excluded from areas that matter in this most important sphere. You can change the situation! You can make a difference! You have a Voice!
Will you be organizing events and activities? Possible activities include industry and workplace visits, career development programs and talks, social media campaigns, training courses, mentoring sessions, awards, technology camps, scholarships, job opportunities, etc. There is no formula. Jidaw encourages you to do what you can.
The ITU Girls in ICT Day Initiative is interested in learning about events and activities that are linked to the theme of Girls in ICT. Gain recognition and visibility for your efforts. Share your pictures and post event summaries on the global ITU platform showing how you and or your organization are directly empowering girls and young women through your Girls in ICT Day events and activities.
Jidaw asks again: What are your plans for the 2014 Girls in ICT Day?
Jidaw looks forward to hearing back from you as well as to exciting, purposeful and fulfilling celebrations on and around 24 April 2014.
Many thanks and kind regards,
