Preparations are in top gear for the National Annual Knowledge and Networking event dedicated to Software development. Organized by the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON), the highly topical theme of the 2012 National Software Conference and Competition is “The Cloud and the Future of Software Nigeria”.
Interested in Software Nigeria? Take your interest to practical reality level by identifying innovative patterns, connecting the dots in software to national development, examining leveraging options of the software platform, competing in software challenges and positioning software Nigeria for global competitiveness. From 28th – 30th October, 2012, all roads leads to Tinapa Knowledge City, Calabar, Cross River State.
Cross River State Government is again the main host and partner. Already major organizations and key players in Nigeria’s technology sector are partnering constructively with ISPON to make the 2012 edition hugely inspiring and successful.
As usual in addressing the National Software Challenge, the youth focus is strong. Nations that make progress are those that view the youth as a source of opportunity and innovation.
Students of tertiary institutions will compete in the challenge won last year by Abia State Polytechnic. The 2012 Software Competition for tertiary institutions promises to be exciting, intense and forward oriented. The competition is in line with ISPON’s mission of developing Nigeria’s indigenous intellectual property in the software knowledge space” to deliver solutions that opens doors to growth and drive sustainable development.
