Nigeria Computer Society NCS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
The maiden edition of Computer Science / Information Technology Research and Development Workshop will be held at the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria from November 14 to 16, 2012. The main goal of the workshop is to build collaborative, purposeful and rigorous research effort towards national development.
Research must be an essential element for Nigeria to use technology and innovation to respond to socio-economic challenges. Nigeria however presently underinvests in research and development. NCS is again rising to the occasion to address the key challenges in the nation’s research environment with a view to improving R&D performance and contribution to the national development agenda.

The Workshop Facilitators are Veteran IT Research Consultants and Capacity Development Builders, who have led many seminars/workshops in Nigeria and abroad.
A certificate will be awarded to Participants who attend all the modules and fulfill all the requirements of the workshop.
The workshop is an initiative of NCS developed to strengthen capacity in Computer Science/Information Technology Research and Development. Activities will be geared towards ensuring contribution towards building an innovative economy that all Nigerians benefit from.
