Nigeria Computer Society NCS Ogun State Chapter engages with Stakeholders
NCS Ogun state chapter has been engaging with stakeholders in the state to foster networking amongst IT professionals and stakeholders. Dr A.S Sodiya, the Chairman of NCS Ogun State Chapter recently led NCS Ogun teams on courtesy visits to Redeemers University (RUN) and Federal College of Education, Abeokuta.
During the visit to Redeemers University (RUN), Dr A.S Sodiya presented the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Debo Adeyewa with the award of “Best IT Driven Institution Award in Ogun state” which the university won at the 2012 NCS Ogun State Merit awards. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Sodiya disclosed that the three university nominated for the award were Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Bells University, Otta and Redeemers University.
Adeyewa thanked Sodiya and his team made up of Vice chairman, Agholor and Ogun State NCS PRO Durosinmi of the Nigeria Computer society for the award. He noted that the award would spur the university to a greater height in computer development and training in the university. He promised that Redeemers University would not let down Nigeria Computer Society.
On Thursday, 5th April, 2012, a team from the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) Ogun state chapter led by Dr. Adeshina Sodiya paid a courtesy visit to the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta. The team was warmly received by the College Management staff of the Institution, Dr Ayo Ajayi (Provost) and other top management staff of the Institution. Dr Sodiya said the visit was to present the Award “IT Improvement Award” to the college and commend it for the significant development of Information Technology in the college compared to where the institution was and where it is at present. On behalf of NCS Ogun he wished FCE continued success.
The provost commended the team and entire member of NCS and also agreed to host this year’s IT Development Programme by November 2012. Members of the NCS ogun team included: Mr. Agholor Vice Chairman, Mrs Rabiu Financial secretary, Mr. Tunde Solanke Assistant General secretary, and Mr. Adekunle Durosinmi PRO.
