The CEO of MobileAppTek, Akin Bolarinwa after completing his Masters degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, worked employing the early generation of Microprocessor in manufacturing robotics and process control. Most of his work was with General Electric Research organizations.
In 1981, the year that saw the entry of IBM Corporation into the PC market, he started Datastar International Ltd, in Nigeria. That organization started the assembly of Personal Computers and building custom software packages for organizations using the new technology. The company enjoyed the patronage of Universities and many institutions in Nigeria; many engineers and programmers received their training through the organization.
As of 1997 he became fully engaged in the USA, with the upcoming Internet technologies, working on dynamic data driven web applications. The extensive work in that area has led to some innovations in the area of specification and modeling of dynamic web applications, especially those based on Model View Controller paradigm; patent is pending on specific methodology in this area.
He was also a member of Faculty University of Phoenix, in Computer & Information Science (2002-2007). He continues to lead MobileAppTek towards innovative products that use leading edge technology.
