ISPON “Night of Tributes”
Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON) will be holding a night for tributes for Engr. Chijioke Simeon Agu on Tuesday, September 18, 2012.
Simeon Agu, founding President of the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON) and a Fellow of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2012.,
Taking place at The Club, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos, the Night of Tributes aims to celebrate the life of Engr. Agu as well as his legacies and immense contribution to the Nigerian I.T Industry. It is also a platform for all Software practitioners to pay their Tributes and convey a befitting farewell to this great man. ISPON wishes to thank all who took time out to drop your tributes and condolences to Engr. Simeon Agu and family.
Simeon Agu was a distinguished IT practitioner who led the way in Nigeria’s software industry. He was a Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and a Member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN).
Engineer Agu commenced his career in information technology with Shell Petroleum Development Company in 1971. He later moved to the National Electric Power Authority in 1977 as Manager Systems Development and eventually rose to the Position of Director, Computer Services. At the time of his passing away, Simeon Agu was the Founder and Chairman of Computer Systems Associates (Nigeria) Limited which later became Neptune Software.

Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has commended ISPON President, national executives and members on arranging this worthy initiative.
