Call For papers ACM MEDES 2012
The International ACM Conference on Management of Emergent Digital EcoSystems (MEDES’12) holds from October 28-31, 2012 Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The IT Doctoral Program of Addis Ababa University is Organizing to host the 4th International ACM Conference on Management of Emergent Digital EcoSystems 2012 (MEDES’12) from October 28-31, 2012 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This serves as a Call for Papers.
This International Conference is expected to assemble high-level researchers to present their research results in the selected topics of Information Technology.
The local organizing committee of the MEDES’12 conference in collaboration with the UNECA as Co-Organizer is working hard to make the conference free of registration fee, unlike other instances of ACM International conferences, to researchers with accepted papers from African Universities and research institutions.
Please be informed that the first conference of MEDES was hosted in Lyon, France in 2009. The second Conference was in Bangkok, Thailand, while the 3rd Conference was in San Francisco, USA. Thus now, the 4th MEDES conference will be hosted in Addis Ababa and is expected to gather hundreds of researchers (See the Conference Website).
Potential researchers are invited to submit high-quality research papers in the topics of the conference. Please circulate among potential researchers in IT.
Description and Objectives
In the world of the Internet, the rapid growth and exponential use of digital medias leads to the emergence of virtual environments namely digital ecosystems composed of multiple and independent entities such as individuals, organizations, services, software and applications sharing one or several missions and focusing on the interactions and inter-relationships among them. The digital ecosystem exhibits self-organizing environments, thanks to the re-combination and evolution of its “digital components”, in which resources provided by each entity are properly conserved, managed and used. The underlying resources mainly comprehend data management, innovative services, computational intelligence and self-organizing platforms.
The International Conference on Management of Emergent Digital EcoSystems (MEDES) aims to develop and bring together a diverse community from academia, research laboratories and industry interested in exploring the manifold challenges and issues related to resource management of Digital Ecosystems and how current approaches and technologies can be evolved and adapted to this end. The conference seeks related original research papers, industrial papers and proposals for demonstrations.
